Unable to run db utilites

I have been trying to run the db utilitied for Arcserve 2000 for about a week. The erros I get are as follows.
unable to open directory for database dbfix_t repairing process for database has been prematuraly terminated due to : internal dbrepair error:-6003.

Unable to start database consistancy check error 39.

I have reinitalized the databases but still get the same errors I have also restated the server.

What is the db utility for Arcserve 2000?

Is that a clipper application?
Does it use files in the clipper dbf format?
If it is a clipper app what clipper version is it?

I tried dbcheck and dbfix. The first error is with dbcheck and the second is dbfix. It is with Arcserve 2000 with the latest sp.

I think you would get better support if you posted to the Computer Associates Arcserve forum on this site.

The Arcserve database is not related to clipper, afaik.
