Hi All!!!

Its a strange situation for me that I am unable to run Java applets in my IE, when I have already made the required changes in Tools/Internet Options/... to enable Java Applets (actually that was allready checked). I am running IE 5.0, with jdk1.3.1. It would be extremely helpful if u cud pull me out.

TIA,
SwapSawe.

Whats the error message, what does the applet do, how have you attactched the applet in the HTML ? Are your classpaths set correctly, is the class compiled and in the correct directory ?

My only suggestion without further detail as sedj says above is to try running the applet in the appletviewer from msdos rather than using internet explorer.

just type appletviewer and then the web page, eg.

C:/ appletviewer index.html

Hey Buddies !!!

The problem is I am even unable to run the applets from websites.. which otherwise run on other computers on same network. The classpath and all works, even the applet viewer is working but what when I have to surf through a website where major information is in applets ... I am unable to use that.

There is no error message just a cross in the upper left corner with a grey rectangle border. Strange enough but the display properties have also been set as they say on Microsoft trouble shooter. JVM enabled... set on high priority...

Expect u to get bk.

Rgds/Sawe.
