I am having a hard time deleting a printer from the server. The message I am receiving is "Unable to remove printer. Printer connection cannot be removed. The printer name is invalid." Does anyone know what that is? Thanks.

Have you tried removing the printer share first and then deleting?

You shouldn't have to reboot, but yes, you can remove it after a reboot. Just open up your printers folder, if there is a hand underneath the printer it means it is being shared. You will have to right click on the printer and go into the properties and set the printer so it is "not shared". Then try and delete the printer.

i had a similar problem also.
what i did was delete the port first, check to see if a port is associated with the printer and then delete the printer. this should work, you shouldn't have to reboot.
