Unable to register NPM ports as 5240s on the 3300 2

No, they won't register if set to full.

Go back into your User and Device section and make sure the Network section is done right
- IP address of Controller
- Set registration code

Then go back into the offline and verify that the line group programming is done correctly.

kwb, this is the programming I have on in the NPM. Note it does work for 5020 ports. I have also checked that system Options on the 3300 have got the correct codes for set registration *** and set replacements ###.

Did, you enable to record a call feature

vMas does not come enabled

You need to download the 1st DVD from the Mitel website

Then place the file on a mounted drive (USB or DVD) on the virtual host

The access the server console screen and select the option to Upgrade/load software from DVD

It will automatically detect the RAC feature to be installed and give you a check box to install it

Then it will search for the specific file (The SW version must match exactly)

Then you're good to go.

no luck...

It first checked with AMC for available MAS versions, then it checked for available Application Blade sources, and then it said "There are no applications to be updated"

I did it with both DVD1 and DVD2 with the same result.

It is done from the Server Console screen, not the Server Manager.

The one you need to use to set the MSL IP address.

I did it from the server console, that's where I couldn't load anymore blades. I then went to Server Manager and copied all the NPM blades to see if you could identify the RAC feature.

Please note that this is a vMAS Demo, which according to AMC it's got RAC feature...

This is not a blade, it is a feature.

I've been assuming this is a MAS. Is this a standalone system?

Can you login to the root console and type the following command:
getids -l

Make sure you see the record a call option (trust nothing you've been told)

kwb, I putty into vMAS as root and got this: I don't see anything that says Record a Call or anything like taht...

Dan did you get the free license for the server as per thread1329-1695969 ?


you need to add the free license to the ARID
54001627 NuPoint Messenger: Record-A-Call

Then getids should show it as Installed but disabled

Then loginto the console as admin and select Install Mitel app suite
Select 3300
Select Record a call option
( you will need the Nupoint DVD)

After that getids should show it as enabled
Then change all you nupoint ports from 5020 Ip to 5240 IP

Restart the nupoint

ALLOW FCOS 291 in Nupoint for users

give them a record a call button
