I'm trying to register ActiveX controls from a very old version of DynaZIP (DynaZIP-32) in an Access97 database and getting the following message:

C:\DZ32\OCX\duzocx32.ocx could not be added/deleted. Install/remove the control using a separate setup utility.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get around this?

Don't most active x files have to be stored and registered within the C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Winnt\System32 direcory (depending on what OS you have)?
And when using the command line to register the ax file don't you have to be in the same directory?
C:\Winnt\System32>regsvr32 duzocx32.ocx

Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Thanks! Your reply led me down the right path...I found out that I needed oc30.dll, which I didn't have on the Win2K machine I'm working on. Once that was registered, I was able to register the 3 Dynazip ocx files.
