I am unable to recieve email but I can manage to send out so what else I need to configuire in exchange 2000 in order to recieve email. Urgent help please

First make sure your external domain MX records point to your exchange server or your firewall. If it's pointing to your firewall make sure that the correct ports are open (usually 25).

Also make sure that the a Recipients Policy has the domain for mail that your are trying to receive added to it. For example if you have an address of jo@company.com added to your AD account but @company.com is not in a recipient policy in Exchange then Exchange will not accept delivery.

Have you got an interface such as McAfee TVD Web Shield running which is sitting between? If so you need to configure the interface to collect mail (port 25) and the exchange server to collect from port 1025
