Hi All

Long time reader, first time poster, so please be gentle.

Have an issue with a BCM 450 where two xerox fax machines are connected via ATA's. When calling each other, they handshake and play nice, however when they receive an inbound call, it handshakes and then hangs up in about 3 seconds.

I have confirmed that outbound faxing works OK.

I have checked that the DN's in element manager are set to Analog and then confirmed that the ATA's are set to modem.

Now Im stumped......ive done lots of work on CS1000 systems but this is my first BCM.

I have logged a fault with the carrier under the theory that there was a clocking issue, however their testing proves NFF.

Any tips, suggestions or otherwise? This system was working perfectly before Christnas and no one has played with it.

Thanks
Melbuurn

Make sure that your clock source is set to "primary external" in your PRI settings.

thanks for that, how/where do I check this?

Resources, Telephony resources, Highlight your PRI Module, you'll see the clock settings on the bottom pane.

In the ATA settings set the ON SITE to OFF SITE.
This was posted recently by someone on the forum who had fax problems and it cleared the issues with bcm450.
