Could you please help me to convert strange symbols script? The thing is that I was a member of Russian forum for 6 years. Forum was implemented in PHP. Members mostly used to post in Cyrillic using resource in order to convert Latinists alphabetic script into Cyrillic one.
Unfortunately the resource was suddenly sold w/o any anticipation. New owners redefined the resource. Old version became unreadable while I really needed to read some topics.
This is an example how the old scripts look like now.

Is there any way to convert it into Cyrillic or at least into Latinists scripts (so that to convert it into Cyrillic through ? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance,
katrin

that does not look like cyrillic text. it seems to have been garbled by different types of charset conversions.

we need more information otherwise we'd be applying transformations randomly to try to resolve this. point us to the original resources and we might be able to help further.

1. This is a redefined website 2. At the very bottom of the interface it is pointed in blue (in Russian) to an “old version”. After I clicked it I get the interface mostly in in Russian.
3. On the very left of the interface right under “Main Navigation” title I clicked on the following 4. Finally I found the title that I needed:
and then

JpadieI do not know if it help....Actually a few posts stayed Cyrillic.
I assumed that it happened because those forum members did not use resource to convert into Cyrillic ( as majority did). They probably used special program to type in Russian directly.

I will take a look later. I have not been in the office for a while

Ummm, it's all in ordinary cyrillic to my eyes until the last link that you supplied

As suspected this is a problem with the encoding. whoever it was that programs the site has not forced the utf8 charset in that page. the others are set to utf8 properly.

If you use Chrome as a browser on the pages that are wrong you can override the encoding by going to View -> Encoding -> UTF-8. The page then renders fine.

I've attached a screenshot here

and a pdf of the entire page is here

hopefully that was what you are after.
