Greetings, I'm having trouble reaching a couple of numbers
423-756-xxxx. Can someone suggest how I can troubleshoot the issue. When dialed I am getting 'Your number cannont be completed as dialed.' I have verified that they are working numbers however I can't get to them from our switch.

Thanks for your help,

MC_Lowcash

Yeah, that doesnt look right to me. I dont know why you have so many entries, it looks redundant to me.

You need an entry for 7 which allows 10 digits.

Do you have any entries with a min/max of 10? Do a 'list ars ana' and page down till you find one.

610
267
484
215
1010xxxx

The others are almost evenly divided having min/max = 11 or 7.

I am not an ARS expert by any means, but what I would do is a 'cha ars ana 7' and then page down untill you find a blank area where you can start a new one, and then I would do dialed string 7, min 10, max 10, route pattern (whatever route some other patterns are using), and call type fnpa.

Tried your suggestion and it doesn't have any effect. All 55x except 556, cause no problems.

Just for grins, have you tried dialing xxx-556-xxxx from a POTS line? It might be the carrier and not your switch?

shoehorn,

look to see if there is an entry for xxx556 in your ars patern.

it might be denied.

if not then try entering a route for xxx556 min 10 max 10 fnpa and send it out any other working route.

howeer if this is a long distance call for you try this

1xxx556 min11 max11 fnpa and a LD route that works.

good luck

Mike

BTW i tried to call 847-556-1320 and it worked.

Shoehorn is probably getting that fast Busy from his PBX.

try a list trace and watch to see if the call leaves your PBX.

list trace station XXXX (where XXXX is the extension from which you are dialing). you will be able to see how the call is set up and weather or not it is being denied.

again good luck

Mike

Tried your suggestion Susan and got a different problem: the pic is wrong and won't let me dial LD without using a 1010 number. It's a pIC problem that we thought had been resolved months ago.

Mdeeves,

List Trace:

dial 91847556
denial station 8444 cid 0x15d
denial of event 1751: No AR/ARS route pat/pref D1=0x1c5 D2=0x15d

Why only on LD with 556?

Mike,

Adding the entries you suggested permitted dialing out correctly. The problem is resolved. Thanks for everyone's help.

My entries were for 17xx556 and 18xx556.

Thanks again everyone.

Chris
