Hi all,

I need some tips on how to troubleshoot a power supply issue with my PowerEdge 2600. I received this error in the event log: (Event ID 1534).
Power supply detected a failure
Sensor location: Power Supply 1
Chassis location: Main System Chassis
Previous state was: Unknown
Power Supply type: AC

I proceeded to search online for a new PSU and to my surprise when I took the old one out, and placed the new in, it isn't working. I even took the existing working PSU from the other block and that wouldn't light up either. Could there be an issue with the internal contacts or is there something I need to perform from the Server bios?

Thanks.

Not yet, I wanted to await some replies before spending time waiting on the line only to discover they wont support me because I'm out of the warranty.
