Hello everyone. I am attempting to set up a VPN from my house to my computer at work. After a lot of reading and searching, I was finally able to connect to the VPN. I am, however, unable to see or ping any PC at my workplace once I'm connected to the VPN. The machine at work is running XP Pro and my home PC is running MCE.
Everything I have read about this problem seems to involve people that are able to ping the PC, but have problems with name resolutions. I have briefly looked into Wins and RAS, but I can't see to find the "idiots" version so I'm a little lost there. I have the VPN server set up to run DHCP over TCP/IP. Well, at least I think I do. Under TCP/IP settings for my
incoming connection, I checked the box that says "Assign TCP/IP addresses automatically using DHCP". Is that all I have to do to enable DHCP?
One PC is 192.168.1.x and the other is 192.168.0.x, so I know that's not the problem. I have opened ports 1723, 50 and 500 for both TCP & UDP. I also have both "PPTP Passthrough and IPSec Pass through" enabled.
Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for your help!
