Unable to ping/connect to servers on separate subnet

I am using the SonicWall Global VPN client to establish a VPN connection with my workplace. The IP address assigned to my VPN connection is on subnet 50 and we have servers that are on subnet 50 as well as subnet 60. The weird part is, I can establish connections with any machine that is on subnet 60, but not on 50. My workstation in the office is on subnet 50, so I can't remote in to it. Our fileserver is also on subnet 50 and I can not map network drives to it or ping it, etc.

The other strange thing is that other users who are connected through VPN CAN connect to both subnets.

My operating system on my home PC is Windows Vista Business (32-bit). My workstation is Windows XP and our servers vary from Windows 2000, NT, and XP.

Does anyone have any suggestions here?

do you have firewall rules that prevent access to the 50's? what other devices are connected? routers?

The only firewall on my home PC is the Windows Firewall and that has been disabled. I am also connected to the internet through a Linksys router (WRT54G).

I failed to mention I was able to do all of these things about a month or so ago and nothing has changed on my router or with the configuration at the office.

a month ago everything worked fine? one day it stopped? was there a change? can you view the logs from the sonic wall? are you able to establish a vpn?

Thanks for the help North323, but I just tried again this morning and I am able to connect to machines on the 50 subnet. I'm going to ask to see if our network admin changed anything as I did nothing on my home PC or router. If I can pinpoint what fixed it, I'll post my resolution here.

It appears to have been an IP conflict with another device on the network. The DHCP server was leasing the IP I had out to VPN users but it belonged to a Cisco phone.

Again, thanks for taking the time to try and help.
