When i want to output an AVI or even a MOV, After Effects doesn't seem to want to do it above a few Gig's. So if i have a 10Gb project I have to export 4 sererate file which i then send to a DVD authoring company to put together and code. This is costing me extra, which is very ennoying.

You should be able to export a larger file, depending on how your drives are formatted.

I would think that a DVD authoring company would STILL charge you extra for transcoding that material.

You're probably better off laying it off to tape (digibeta) or putting a sequence to DLT then delivering that to them. Those are standard formats and you shouldn't have an "overage" charge for editing.

Thanks for your post, my main problem is the rendering in one go. You mentioned a problem could be the way my drives are formatted. Is it possible for you to expand on this.
