Unable to open Quark 5 in Quark 4. What can I do?

My co-worker has a more recent version of Quark. Everytime she sends me a document, I receive an error message saying it cannot be opened on my computer due file extension error(9).
Any suggestions? thanks. ssandirish

try getting him to "save as" back to version 4

Marcus is right, one more thing though, When you save the Quark 5 file as Quark 4 you must also select single language otherwise it will not work.
