I am attempting to use a hyperlink (https) in MS Word 2000 and receive the following error
message: "Unable to Open <hyperlink address> A security problem has occurred"

I have tried this in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint as well and get the same error message.

I have already tried searching on the web and found nothing that works thus far. I did try the MS article 271511 to no aval.

I am running Office 2000 w/SP3, thanks in advance for your help with this matter.

When you set the links are you using the Hyperlink wizard?
And if so does the wizard find the address before it sets the link?

I am not sure if the wizard was used or not. This is a document that was sent to me stating the problem. I am 99% sure Word made the link active automatically. Does this information help?

Did you verify that the site is in your browser's history?

Yes it is in the browser's history. I am thinking about just redirecting the link at the firewall. This way I can omit the secure link and use a regular link that works, then point the non-secure link at the firewall to the proper place. My only problem with that is if someone emails this document out and tries to access the link outside of our network. By the way I do appreciate the suggestions thus far.
