Hello everyone

received a file with a .123 extension. I don't recognise the format and am unable to open it in Excel which I was told I would be able to. Can any one advise me on how I might be able to get it open.

Thanks
Craig

Sounds like a Lotus 1-2-3 file.
If it is then it should open in Excel unless it is corrupted somehow.
If you would post your E-mail address, I'll mail you and you could mail me back with the file.
I'll see if there's anything I can do.

Yes, the .123 extension is a Lotus 123 release 5 (I think) file. Excel 97 doesn't recognise them - not sure about 2000/Xp. You might need to get the originator to re-save the file as a .wk4.

Cheers,

Hello people

Thanks for the responses,I'm going to get the sender to resend in another format, .xls or something I know I can open. Appreciate the help and advice.
