I think the computer probably got a virus from a music download program called 'limewire'. When the computer is turned on an error comes up saying:
Error Loading w95dd3d6.dlll
The system cannot find the file specified.
After 'OK' is hit then msn opens and Freedom Antivirus then limewire comes up but is unable to open (was tried to be removed manually but obviously was not all removed) When anything is tryed to be opened (control panel, solitare) it says "Not enough free memory to run this program. Quit one or more programs, and then try again"
When Ctrl+Alt+Delete is pushed the following programs come up:
msn messenger
freedom antivirus
limewire
i ware
Eboard
Winupdates
Wwkqm
Findfast
Gbtask
Pelmiced
Dhbltjka
Sys 9845986 common
optimize
systray
rundll32
opware 32
duce6
duce6
duce6
ect(duce6)
windows394843
ect(windows######)

When end task is tried the same error comes up that there is not enough memory to open that program.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this or is the computer unable to be fixed??
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks!

Prevx should do a good job of cleaning it up, providing you can install it ok (some of the best apps don't install on ME or 98).

Once you've done that, you'll need to scan with Hijackthis to find out if there's anything left.

i would recommend that you run your antivirus and antispyware that you have installed right now if any, then go and install a good antispyware program. A good one that i use is spysweeper from Webroot, but there are many other programs you can use.

you can also disable all programs from the msconfig/start up programs, then restart your computer. This should not allow any other malicious software that ussually starts up when windows does. then run the antivirus and antispyware.

good luck!
