I have Epicor (v7.3, SP1a) set up on a Windows 2003 server with TS and Citrix installed. When logging into the Citrix web interface, everytime I attempt to run a report I receive the above message in the subject line. When I log onto the Citrix web interface with an account that is part of the Domain Admins, then I am able to print fine. Regular users have do have full access to the Citrix server. I am not sure what permissions are missing that the users need.

Any help would be most appreciated.

thanks -- dee

This error message is usually triggered by an incompatibility with the crpe32.dll file. 7.3 gave you the ability to upgrade the Crustal Reports from version 8.0 to 9.0. Did you do that? Make sure that the person who wants to print reports does not have a different crpe32.dll file on their local machine than is on the Citrix box or vice versa. You might want to have a local user account that is not part of the domain try to run a report without going through a Citrix session. Bring up eBackOffice from the Citrix server directly, either sit on the console or connect with terminal services. Then try to run a report. That will determine if this is really a Citrix problem or more a user rights issue. If it is really Citrix problem, open tech support ticket with Chris Hurley at Epicor. If it is more Citrix related - see if Lois Gomez of Epicor can help. I am the Citrix admin here and have worked in tech support for Epicor for numerous years. I might be able to shed some further light into this. What version of Citrix are you using? Metaframe 4.0 with web/ica client or program neighborhood?

Thanks for the quick response. I don't think it is a crpe32.dll error because I logged into the Citrix web interface from the same machine and the person who was a domain admin could print to the screen with crystal reports, but the person who wasn't in the domain admins couldn't. We are currently using 8.0 for crystal. I think it is more a user rights issue, but no one can figure out which rights should be given. When they run this app from their personal PCs, there are no problems.

I had some problems like that. I made the eClient folder a share with read permissions to the group that eBackOffice was published for. I'd pick one user that doesn't have special rights and then try to log on through Citrix with this user to see if that would resolve the problem.

Unfortunately, that did not fix the problem. I created the share and assigned Read permissions on the share, security is full access. Do I need to change the way the application is published?

Thanks for your help.

We use Metaframe 4.0. I have special groups in my Active Directory set up. I.e. CitrixeBO users, CitrixeFO Users, CitrixStarProject Users, CitrixFRx users etc. I ensure that when IT creates a new users, they put this user in the correct Citrix group, depending on what software the users is going to use. I have published the application to the CitrixeBO Users. I don't think this has to do with the way the applications are published.
I think it might have to do with the way the client printers are created. Crystal relies heavily on printers being available to print any report. If the Citrix fails to auto-create a users printer - Crystal reports won't print, reports just don't come up. How do you have your printer creation set up on the Citrix box? Have you checked if a users printer gets auto-created when this user logs in? What exactly does the printer name look like when the user logs in? I would try this: In your Citrix management console, under policies, ensure that you enabled legacy client printers and have a check mark in create old-style client printers. What Metaframe version are you using?

I tried your suggestions, but they didn't work. The only thing that works is when I move a user to the Domain Admins group and then it works. We are using Presentation 4.0, SP1.

Unfortunately there is nothing else I can think of, I am sorry. I know that my users are not Admin users. At this point I'd suggest to contact technical support at Epicor and perhaps ask that Louis Gomez can take a stab at it. He's the Citrix admin at Epicor.
