I need a major help, when I tried to mount a filesystem
and I am unable to mounted. It gives me a message said that "No such device or address".

What do I need to do to fix this problem....

Thanks in advance

Need help right a way.

what command did you use to mount the filesystem.

When I do a mount : mount /RAID-B-qio-db

Message:

can not open: /dev/vx/dsk/A5200-dg/RAID-B: no such device or address

What do I need to do?

thanks for respond

and you are sure about the mount point name (including case -- are qio-db really lower case or are they upper case?)? Can you cd into /dev/vx/dsk/A5200-dg and do an ls on RAID*.

I am not very familiar with veritas for Sun, but I wonder if it doesn't like the name? did you get any unusual message when you created the filesystem?

Type vxdg list and make sure that "A5200-dg" is imported.

Type vxprint -th RAID-B to check whether the volume exists and is ENABLED and ACTIVE (look for the line beginning with "v").

Annihilannic.

The A5200-dg is not in:

vxdg list
NAME STATE ID
rootdg enabled 931474903.1025.acecommok1
A5100-dg enabled 941472095.1450.acecommok1
A5200-dg enabled 931475766.1137.acecommok1

Can you show me how to import it?

thanks for help
