unable to modify url in "Show Project Portal..."

From Team Explorer you can right click on a project and
chose "Show Project Portal..." to go to the projects sharepoint site.

Currently this url is pointing to:

http://myServer/sites/myProject/default.aspx

I want to change it to:

http://myServer/myProject/default.aspx

We do not use sites anymore...

Is there a solution to this ?

I solved this issue by making a simple redirect
in every sites default.aspx file.
