I AM FACING THIS PROBLEM FOR LONG TIME CAN ANYONE HELP ME IN THIS PROBLEM. THANKS

kam,

you have an ip routing problem. your phone and gateway can register to callmanager, but cannot talk to each other. That is why signaling works(which is endpoint to callmanager) but audio does not(endpoint to endpoint).

fix that and you should be fine. have even you tried pinging the gateway from the home network?

Thank you for the quick reply

From my PC i have ping gateway ist replying
From gateway i have ping CCM and IP phone its replying
=======================================================
"fix that and you should be fine" what should i fix can you please provide the instructions

Thanks for helping

Does the call stay up when you answer? If not, you probably have a codec issue. If the call stays up, do you have the UDP ports used by RTP for the voice transport open through your firewall? Sounds like you have the signaling TCP ports open but not the UDP ports used by RTP.

agreed - it sounds like a firewall problem now. At first glance, I wouldn't think of a codec issue on an mgcp gateway.

Thanks for reply:
1. Does the call stay up when you answer?
Ans: Yes for 30 to 40 sec(If someone call)

2. you probably have a codec issue?
Ans: If its a codec issue what appropriate action should i take, i will try the second option too.

Thanks

I'm not a good source for firewall configs.
Let's clarify the problem. Does the call fail when someone calls into the local Gateway to a local IP Phone or into local Gateway to a remote IP phone? If local > local, Firewall is not in the equation. What phone load are you running? We had a similar issue with 7.2.2, phones would not negotiate codecs to the gateway correctly so we had 1 way conversations, changed to 7.2.3 and we are good.
I add 1 command to my router configs that I don't see in yours. "call application global MGCPAPP" I forget what it does but I know we had an issue when it was missing.

Given below is my actual problem. Presently
=====================================================
PROBLEM WHICH I AM FACING:
=>Bell is ringing on IP phone when i receive the phone i cant hear the voice of caller, Even the caller cant hear.

=>Cannot make a call from IP Phone.
=====================================================
PHONE LOAD:
App Load ID P00307000200
Boot Load ID PC0303010001
Version 7.0(2.0)
======================================================

Thanks

kam - did you have any luck in fixing this? I am experiencing similar problem with same setup... Calls ring, but silence on both ends. I can place a call but it never makes it to the gateway's FXO port to complete...

Here is what is happening with my setup. 2620 with NM-2v and 2x VIC-2FXO-M1. 2950 Switch and CCM 4.1

Place call from the outside, line rings to the "Attendant" extension that was configured in the gateway options for each FXO port.

Answer the call, silence on both ends. Approx 20 seconds later the call is disconnected.

If I call back into the same port, it rings once and I get a fast busy. If I shutdown the voice port, and bring it back up... the phone starts to ring again. If not, I continue to get a fast busy after the initial ring.

Outbound calls do not work at all - just goes to silence (The light on the back of the FXO does not light up either).

Anyone have a suggestion in the right direction? Followed the directions on Cisco site for configuring MGCP gateway with FXO.

Thank you in advance

No cobac seems like forum sleeping problem not solved yet.

Question: Are you getting dialtone from the outside lines when you go to place a call?

I have limited the 4 ports down to just using the 1st port now. (Even though I have 4 lines). I was starting to notice on outbound calls it was picking up port 1 and when that didn't go through, the light next to port 2 would come back on and so on. Eventually all the ports would be "out of service".

When I go to make a call, I notice the light on the back of the FXO card lights up green for about 1-2 seconds then turns off. About 15 seconds later I get a fast busy (from the callmanager, not the telephone company).

Then, everytime I try to make another call the line stays busy ad never disconnects itself. Either for inbound or outbound calls - always fast busy. Have to restart the interface to get it to answer/prepare for call. Otherwise, inbound calls are answered by the 2620 and a fast busy signal.

I have also changed the voice ports between Loop/Ground start without any success.

Wish I knew what was going on here.... maybe the IOS version we have on the 2620 is no good?

Just throwing some more ideas out there...

Upgrade the IOS on your router to 12.3 version...

FIXED my problem! I sure hope it fixes yours! I guess CCM 4.1 doesn't like the 12.2 version of IOS...

Thanks Cobac

Can you please post your configuration.

Can you also provide bin file name for 12.3 version thanks

Same configuration you had posted previously...for MGCP

The IOS version is 12.3 IP/H323 Plus Basic - believe it was 15B
