run dbcheck & dbfix

Hello

I have the same problem on ArcserveV9
Went to the CA website and it says usage is as follows

dbdefrag -a -L casdb;admin;secret DBNAME

where DBNAME is the name of the Database, I have tried alot of different things but to no avail. What is Casdb? the only user name and password I have is for caroot but it's not authenticating

A colleauge said that the DBPruning was disabled so I executed it but the database still remained at 1.7GB

Any help would be much appreciated

the user name is admin and the password is secret. There should be a vldmutil doc in the ARCserve directory explaining how to use the utilities. There are also some good faqs in the ARCserve forum.

did you stop the services a few times ????

Run cstop

and after that run cstart (in brightstor backup folder !!)
