Hi, I am upgrading Delphi5/oracle8.0.5 to Delphi2007/Oracle10G.
Also replacing BDe with Dbexpress.
I have already changed all components.
While I am able to test Oracle connection by clickingTest connection, When My application runs, it throws error first saying "Cannot load OCi.dll". when I continue, it gives me an Error saying Access Violation at Address <>.
Could Some on eplease suggest What is it that I am missing?

Thanks.
Manisha.

I am not sure. It should be. How can I check it?
I actually checked one of the threads and they mentioned something about providing access permissions through the security TAB on Properties of the Oracle/Bin folder.
Is that how I should be doing it?
I have checked but the security TAb does not show up on my PC.
I have also tried going to Control Panel->Folder Options-> view and unchecking the "USe simple file sharing option".
I am still unable to see the security Tab.
Could you please suggest what is wrong on my machine?
Could it be a full admin privilegde issue?

I have had this problem too in the past when using Oracle Call Interface (OCI). In my case the problem was solved by re-installing Oracle Client on the PC where the error appears. When reinsalling ORacle client make sure you select Oracle Call Interface option.

Hope this helps
