I am using wsdl file to pull data, but i am unable to link tables in the links tab. can anyone help me how to do this.
---if the tables are in hierarchy or have some relation then Crystal reports is making a default link to the headers of the table which is not deletable. does any one know why i am unable to link tables and why/wht is the default link.

Have you turned off automatic smart linking? That may be what's causing the links to automatically set up. The other possibility is that the links are defined in the WSDL/XML data in which case there probably isn't anything you can do about it.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

thank you hilfy i have turned off smart linking but still not able to create my own link i also assume there is something wrong with wsdl. do you have any idea about how to avoid filling parameters for every table in the wsdl
thank you

I've not worked with web services as a data provider for Crystal (I've used them with Xcelsius) so I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help on this end. When I was working with it with Xcelsius, I would go to the web services test page that returns a sample data set and then review the structure with data to see what the issue was (I was writing the web service as well as the dashboard.)

Thank you hilfy,
if given a wsdl file can you read(understand) it and see if there are any flaws
our organization has just started to use the wsdl with crystal reports so they have no idea how it should be to make it work on crystal reports.
thank you for any kind of suggestion

Since I've not used web services to provide data for Crystal, I'm not sure what Crystal is looking for in the wsdl. So, I'm afraid I'm not much help there. Sorry!
