Unable to initialize astpsdat database 1

Running Brightstore 11.1 with sp1..Yesterday got e3530 msg along with "Failed to login to database. (ec=2005). along with w3831 unable to find any media..confirmed media can be seen withing device manager. Same errors with a manual backup...

Tried to initialize astpsdat.db and am getting msg within server admin that says "Failed to initialize database (asjob).
"Please close other BrightStore applications and try again"..

I don't have the manager or any other windows open and I'm sure that i highlighted only astpsdat..

Tried then to initialize all databases and same error message comes up..

Any ideas?

Sometimes it gets like this. If it is possible set the DB engine service to manual and reboot the server, then try to initialise again.

If this fails then run an new install of the same version/ patch level of arcserve on another PC and copy over the db files manually from the fresh installation. You will need to have the dbengine stopped if you perform the manual copy.
 
Thanks..will try maybe tomorrow..

P.S. I have only 1 single backup job besides job prunning in the job queue..

Can i still use this same backup job after i replace the db folder? or should i recreate a new job..
