Unable to hear IP Phone users

We have an 2400IPX Rls 18...4 users located on an offsite is unable to transmit or receive calls on their IP Phone extension. I come from a Nortel background..

I'm not qualified to answer on the 2400, but with other systems I have found that if the phone is connecting (time/date) the audio problem was due to ports being blocked or not forwarded properly.
