Unable to get rid of an URL

Hi falks,

Because of typo mistake, I was taken to a site that was automatically added to my favorites, and keeps coming up every time I sign in to the net. I have deleted it from my favorites, set up another default starting page, and still it keeps coming up.
How can I get rid of this site?

i had the same problem on a chruch computer, i ended up using cwshredder (free online). this took care of the problem
