Unable to get object information from Roto

We are having in one of the workstations for Accpac version 4.2 a problem. This happens when we have try to search for a #Vendor number. The previous, next, and new bottoms are working perfectly, but the following error message is displayed :-
...." Unable to get object information from Roto"..... when the search button is clicked.
Any ideas.
