I need to modify a couple of analogue extensions on a MX-One Telephony Server to send a different number as their CLI to the terminating exchange. At present the DDI number is sent as the CLI. I have tried to add this facility using the number_conversion_initiate command with various parameters (entry, numbertype) changed but any time I dial an external number (using my mobile as test) from the extension the DDI number continues to be displayed.
Is there something I need to change for the extension to permit the conversion or have I missed a step elsewhere?

Confused!!!

Stuart

Hi,
can you check the SERV-parameter of the outgoing route ?
D10 (number conversion) activated ??
regards,
Norbert

Checked the SERV parameter, all outgoing routes have D10 in SERV as 1 which according to ALEX is 'number conversion shall be made'

Appreciate you assistance.

next step is to check the number_conversion.
entry ..
conversiontype 1
numbertype 11 (Internal directory number when sent to private network)
newtype 5 (or 6 or 7 ??)
truncate ..
pre ..

Are you using the parameter "targetdest" in number_conversion ?
Is in ADC-parameter of RODDP the D24 (Enhanced Sent A - Number) set ?

regards,
Norbert

You should also ensure that the number you are sending is valid within the allocated range or the network will discard it and substitute the default number. It is possible that number conversion is working but you are sending an invalid number. You can trace on SLP60 to see what A-number is being sent by MX-One.

Snor,

Is it possible to 'spoof' your outgoing CLI (off a server based MX-1) to be an extension off another PABX with a different node id?

cheers
