Hi all,

Unable to get message string for code 83, I get this error when I try to backup a lotus notes database ...

any ideas?...

Is this the first time you have tried to backup a Notes DB, or has it just started to fail?

Hey,

I have never sucessfully backed up a lotus notes database on this server, am doing it manually, I sucessfully backup databases on all my other notes servers.... hope this answers your question.....

I'm not sure if it will work without a notes agent (or shutting notes down prior to the backup). We have always used agents and it works fine.

FWIW - we never use the Notes agent & generally get sound (i.e. restorable) backups.
What version of Arcserve/OS/etc?
