Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I am running BrightStor 11 on a Windows 2003 server. I run a custom backup schedule, 2 jobs a day on one tape, 1 differential, and one full backup. (..Backing up different files.) The other day, the first job, set to run at 9pm, failed with this message in the Activity log.

Information 08/10/2004 21:05:12 146 Mount media request cancelled by user or by default timeout.
W3831 08/10/2004 21:00:12 146 Unable to find any media that can be used in this job.
Information 08/10/2004 21:00:11 146 Description: Daily Full Backup.
So, 'UNABLE TO FIND ANY MEDIA THAT CAN BE USED IN THIS JOB'. But tape was in drive....and it ran the second differential job at 11pm perfectly ok. Eh?
Oh, and it worked fine last night!?!
This all seems rather unreliable - (still running in parallel with old backup system), - and so I am concerned - how do I know when and where ArcServe will decide whether to recognise a tape from one hour to the next??
If anyone can shed some light on why it didn't recognise the media for Job 1 but was happy for job 2, or any similatr experience, please let me know!
Thanks muchly,
Loafster
