Unable to drop/create table with new values of "NEXT"

Hi,

I have large table will following storage parameters:
INITIAL 2000M
MINEXTENTS 1
MAXEXTENTS 2147483645
PCTINCREASE 0
FREELISTS 1
FREELIST GROUPS 1
BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT

Would like to change (NEXT and MAXEXTENTS) to:
INITIAL 2000M
NEXT 2000M
MINEXTENTS 1
MAXEXTENTS 500
PCTINCREASE 0
BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT

I tried drop table/ create table but it didn't help.

Please advise.

An INITIAL extent of 2GB (2000M) - just how big is this table ?

What error message do you get?

How big is the tablespace and how much do you have free ?

Sure. This is very BIG table and have ~50 GB in tablespace.
