Unable to create media pool

Hi all

we use BAB 11.1 (Windosw) and have three backup jobs every night. One morning, two of this three jobs displayed within the Status column "corrupted". Also the DB-Backup after the job could (and still can) not be done.

Then i did the following:
- Run dbcheck utility, everything ok.
- Recover database (using Utilities)
--> nothing changed
- adding the saved jobs again
- deleteing the "corrupted" jobfiles in CA\BrightStor ARCserve Backup\00000001.qsd
- Now on first sight everything seems ok

but now i am not able anymore to change any the jobs, also this one which had not the corrupted status. On start action the message "Unable to create media pool" appears.

Does anybody know what causes this?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi all

we got in contact with CA support and they recomended without a question to move to an MSSQL DB.

This procedure was done within 15 min. and should now be much more stable...

we'll see

Dani, that would make sense, once the ArcServe's native DB grows to over 5Gig, it becomes unstable.
