I'm sure this is a tired issue, but i'm really stuck and i couldnt find anything to help me by searching tek tips. Here we go...

We have 3 servers and 7 workstations at my work. They were all working fine on friday. When i showed up at work today a few of them wouldn't connect to the internet or our network. When i try to release and renew ip it wont do it. It comes up with 0's. I've tried using winsock fix and that didnt work. I've tried flushing dns. Nothing. the servers are working fine it's just a few of the workstations. We are behing a Netgear firewall/router. Any help would be much appreciated.

You should consider the possibility that your router is dying.

Is that what you think it is? I was hoping it wasn't that. But a few computers working and a few not does seem like that eh.... Weird thing is, the router is less than 6 months old.

Test: At the router plug a working computer into a "non-Working" port, and a "non-Working" computer into a working port.

What happens?

Thanx alot bcastner. It wasn't the router but it was the hub hooked up to it. All that pulling out my hair for nothing :)
