I am unable to connect to the internet using some major apps. (Internet Explorer, Y! messenger, etc)

I am currently surfing using Firefox, and it is working fine.

Kindly help me. Thank you.
 
What changed on your system recently?

I installed I tinkered with it a bit, then decided to removed it since i was not satisfied. this is about 4days ago, around the same time my net started malfunctioning.

i did nothing else that is unusual.
 
Mostlikely the Proxysettings got left from the Prog you used...

See:

under step 4, make sure that the Use a Proxy Server CheckBox is not ticket ... and then IE should behave normally...

PS: FF is not affected due to the fact that it does not use the Internet Connection Settings of Windows, but it's own...
