Unable to connect to an Option 11c using port 0,1 or 2

Hi,

I am in a bit of a dilemma ... I am unable to access an Option 11c using any ports with Hyper terminal.

I a am using a RS232 serial cable (DB25 - DB9) which has worked on other PBX's.

When I try to connect, I get no response or any data on the screen.

Does any one know why this might be?

You help is greatly appreciated ....

Have you tried a null modem adapter?

Have you got a null adapter on it? Option 11 require one.

I don't, but I have used the same cable on many other Option 11's without issue!

Why would this one me different?

Normally the Option 11 needs the Null MOdem adapter, the other systems you have connected to in the past may have their TTYs set different (DTE/DCE)

Managed to get my hands on the adaptor .... It's now working!
