Unable to connect the 2nd time to ISP

I dun know whether this is a problem of WinXP Pro or is it my modem driver problem...but i have updated to the WinXP driver for this modem...

but the scenario is i can only connect the 1st time using my modem (a Prolink 1456VE 56K external modem). After that, i can't connect anymore unless i reboot the comp (the thing juz stops at the "Verifying password...." for some time then disconnects).

Anyone have similiar problems or have a solution to this?

Yes, I had this problem.
Removing ZoneAlarm solved it.

ok i think i solved the problem. It's not ZoneAlarm's fault. It's a dial-up password authentication fault
