I encountered the following error when trying to run the report in PeopleSoft's Process Scheduler:
"Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. %6 %7 %8 %9 (65,30)"

It works fine when I previewed my report in Crystal Reports 9. I think it has something to do with the subreport that i added, since it works fine with out it. The parameter used for the subreport is among the parameters used for the main report. Is there something I forgot to add?

Has anybody encountered this error message before?
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

I removed any bind variables in my query for the subreport and i'm still getting the same error. Does this make sense? Why would i receive this error even if the subreport doesn't require any parameters at all?
Thanks for any help.

Unable to connect incorrect logon parameters generally indicates problems logging onto the database (bad logon or password). Does this report have multiple data sources perhaps and the information is there for only one of them?

Hi,
Yes, the subreport uses a different data source (ps query) from the one in the main report. But they're both fetching values form the same database, so the login info should work for both data sources. Could it be that it's a PeopleSoft security issue? I created the query for the subreport myself while the one for the main report already existed before. Could i have left out something? Sorry, I'm still clueless.

The best thing to do would be to do a Database show SQL query to get the code that is being executed and then log into a tool (using the same logon you are running the report with) where you can run the code besides Crystal (we use SQL Navigator to run Oracle code, I don't know what you might be using). You may be having an issue with the user account you are using not having access to some of the data. Are you running this is Crystal Enterprise? If so you may have a second database connection defined that doesn't have the database credentials identified.

I think that people soft uses CE in the background, and within CE youmust set the database connectivity for main and subreports, even if they're the same.

You were right, i noticed in datasource location for the subreport it had some invalid logon information in the Properties. I wasn't aware of that or actually didn't know exactly how to verify :) Still getting the hang of this so your help on this was much appreciated. Thanks.

I am currently using Crystal Enterprise 9 and we utilize ePortfolio to publish our reports. I created a report and published it, when I try to run the report I am getting the following error message:

Status: Failed

Printer: The instance is not printed.

External Destination: None

Start Time: 10/2/2007 4:12:31 PM

End Time: 10/2/2007 4:12:31 PM

Server Used: SRV484.report

Error Message: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. File D:\Temp\Jobserver\procSched\SRV484.report\~tmp2a84efe9d01880.rpt.

I am using "SQL Server" as my datasource, I have added the datasource on the Enterprise server under both user and system DSN. I also tried playing with the report settings in Crystal Management Console but I am still getting the error.

Did anyone see this error before?
