I am getting the following error when I try to compact my database:

Record(s) can't be read; no read permission on T:/file name.mdb

The database is on a shared drive - whe I copy the database to my own computer, I get the same error?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!!!

Fred

hi, make sure u have the full admin right on that file. Go to the properties and have a look on it.

Thanks! It says:

"you only have permission to view the current security information on smallgroup.mdb"

Could that be the problem?

Thanks!!!

Fred

It does not appear to be the drive that it is on- I moved this database to my own computer and I still get the same error - Does anyone have any idea what could be happening here ? thanks!!!!

I tried to move the tables to a new database and one specific table says that there is another user updating the data where there is not ????
