Hello all.
I'm having a problem with a 2600, it has 16 megs on onboard flash memory, which currently has a 13 meg ios image on it.
We needed to upgrade the IOS image, new one currently aroung 18 megs, and previous flash card(16 megs) wasnt sufficient.
However, router will not boot(at all - no display whatsoever) with the new flash card!
Have tried two different flash cards so that isnt the issue.
Current config:
sh run | i boot
boot system flash:
boot system flash:c600-is-mz.122-8.T10.bin
The c2600-is-mz.122-8.T10.bin image is the one thats currently loaded in onboard flash memory.
Tried various things.
Removed boot system flash: entry, switched off router, inserted flash card, rebooted, does not boot at all.
2) Removed boot system flash:c600-is-mz.122-8.T10.bin, so that just had boot system flash:, switched off, inserted flash, rebooted, still does not boot.
Am perplexed as to what is goin on here.
I had thought that removing boot system flash: command with new flash card in it would still boot the router using the onboard flash memory, at which point I could download the new ios via tftp...
Please advise..
Many thanks.
