unable to attach to server

a network connection could not be established. This keeps happening every night but not on the same volumes. My backup server is NT 4.0 sp6a and is the ONLY function of this server. The message I'm getting is when backing up Novell 5 server (NT servers back up perfectly). tonight it will be my ENG volume, tomorrow my ENG volume will backup fine and the SYS volume will return the error. Can anyone HELP!!!!

I don't know how you have the Netware 5 set up, by my 4.11 clients get picky if you don't tell it to use 802.3 frame. Do you just have NWlink running on the NT server? Try ipx/spx unless you are running pure IP. To make it short have all the machines running the same protocol and frame type.
