Unable to assign hunt group to incoming calls

Nortel system running 7.1 software, sleeve is 0.1

We are unable to set the prime as the 739 hunt group on the 1-23 channels on the system

If no prime is set on the channels calls do not come through at all, when set to 221 the system ignores any input in other places (like assignments to line 157 in the hunt group)

help!

Also if we set a phone with a certain line it still rings the prime set (i.e trying to configure a DID#)

Why are you programming prime set if it is in your way of what ever it is you are doing?

If you want line 157 on 221 then assign 157 to 221 in Sets/Line Access.
if you want line 157 to ring a hunt group programming then go to Hunt Group/Line Assignment and have it assigned.

The problem is if we have the prime set to none then all a caller gets is a busy signal even if it is assigned (157) to a hunt group (in this case HG01 / 739)

Do you mean when the HG is busy they get a busy? if so in HG programming you can choose Busy or Overflow.

Make sure you do not have normal lines assigned to hunt group members sets.

We finally figured it out, receive number was supposed to be 3 digits instead of 4. =/ ugh

don't think you can use a Hunt Group DN as a Prime set for any line, it has to be an actuall extension on the system. I would still put a Prime Set for lines 1-23 i would use whatever the operator is. this way if a number comes in and the system does not regonize the 4 digits at least the call will still complet.

I set the prime set and it seemed to still go to the hunt group now, ill keep that there just in case. Thanks!

This was the strangest month. Our ups malfunctioned twice frying 2 nortel PSU's =(
