Greetings! I have a IP500v2 w/8.1 (43) BASIC
All users have 9508 sets, and are reporting they are unable to transfer inbound callers to other on-premise extensions. As a caller, I just hear the "beep" as I've been place on hold, since there is no hold music/message. I've resorted to performing a warm-reset of the system, but no luck. Normally, it's as simple as transfer, ext # and hang up. However, when they hang up after transferring, the caller just remains on hold and the destination extension rings once. When you try to answer it, the phone beeps twice and won't let you pick up the call. However, the person who initially answered the incoming call and transferred it can pick the call back up. Hope that makes sense, and if I've left out some vital information, please let me know! Thank you all in advance!!!
 
instead of just hanging up after the 1st transfer try to hit the transfer a 2nd time and see if this works

Thanks! Unfortunately I already had them try that, and they reported that after hitting transfer and the extension, the only options are (conf. cancel drop)
I also had them try putting the caller on hold and then transferring, but that yielded the same result.
 
They should have an option on their phone to press complete. Have they tried that? Also when do you know if the SD card was formatted and recreated I have seen some strange issue when it not. You may want to hard boot the IPO, if that doesn't work, there are dot release upgrades you can install and if that fails. DTE
 
Most all 8.1 basic had some sort of bug. Take it to 8.1 (81), I have not seen any bugs on it yet, although very few of my very few Basic clients do not transfer either.
 
Lugman - They don't have an option after hitting transfer to complete. Just the option to conference/cancel/drop the call. The procedure for recreating/formatting an SD card is something I am not familiar with, but would be willing to try that. Sorry, I deal mainly with CUCM and a legacy Definity we maintain. Are there any quick pointers steps you'd mind to share? Thanks!!!

wspence - I'll certainly check into updating the code on this system. It's a small office, and the only one we have, so it gets neglected in that respect, unfortunately.
 
did a little research and found that this feature is NOT SUPPORTED on a basic mode installation

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.
