Hi
Comtec17
Yes
I have installed Java Windows display console. But when i put host name , id and password ( for Master server ) to login,It only brings clinet backup/restore GUI for same host. It does not bring Admin console to manage master server.
I have also put client hostname in bp.conf file on master server. Is there anything else need to be done to manage from client Java console ?

Thanks again

insert your loginID and your privileges into the /usr/openv/java/auth.conf file.

/usr/openv/java# cat auth.conf
root ADMIN=ALL JBP=ALL
netbackup1234 ADMIN=ALL JBP=ALL

Just because the VERITAS documentation states a certain thing does not make it a fact and that is truth.

Thank you STUMPR
Now i am able to see Admin console from window clients using Java dispaly console.
But I see following error pop up when i try configure catalog backup..
"operation requested by an invalid server"
Any idea why i am getting that ?

You have to add the client running the java as a valid server for the master. Simply vi the bp.conf file located in the netbackup directory and add the servername. Be sure that the master and the client can resolve each other's name. Then you will have to stop/start netbackup on the master server to force it to read the bp.conf file.
