I have a Windows Server 2003 machine on which I installed a remote agent. When I go to backup selection and look under "Remote Selections", I can see that computer but I can't selected because it is grayed out. Is there a reason for that? How can I backup that computer?

Can you log into that machine and verify services are up and running?
Can you ping the master/media servers from the client?

Thanks for your response. yes, the services are up and running. What I was able to do is create a User-defined selection, put the IP of the machine and add it to the backup selections that way. So I am all set.
Thanks

Are they one diff vlan's?
I just use Host files for every client as my AIX servers do not use DNS

Glad you got it working :)
