Unable to access Windows XP system from network.

I am not able to access a particular system through network in a LAN of 100 nodes. I am able to access all the systems except this system. All the system are of WIndows XP OS and have similar softwares installed. I tried using the ip address also. i can ping to this system using the name as well as ip. But i can connect to any other system from this particular system. All the system has SYmantec Antivirus 10.0 installed.

Can any one give a solution for this problem. Thanks in advance.
 
Are all these part of a Domain. If so, maybe that one is not on the Domain. Maybe the Windows firewall is on. You can try turning it off.
 
No, the systems are in workgroup. Also the XP firewall option is off.
