umobility on a 2100 for everyday use

I have a prospective customer who wishes to use the umobility softphone for a group of work from home / work on the road folks. the office staff would have a digital phone.

Can we expect the umobility to work reliably on wifi and 4g lte on a smartphone? I would say NO but open to ideas. This is an sub/urban environment, not tall buildings, but dense cell coverage... mostly.
 
Umobility 5 app doesn’t work on iOS at all, not sure about other platforms.
I successfully deployed Bria mobile app on iOS over vpn, very reliable as long as your phone has data connection, either WiFi or lte
On sl2100 you also have an option to do mobile extension, but it will require 2 trunks for every call.
Either option requires licenses

Wouldn't the ST500 be the solution here? Available for both IOS and Android.
 
Just check IOS App Store, Univerge ST500 is not out yet, not in US market.
 
Thanks. I realize adding a softphone app to a bunch of cell phones is an administrative nightmare for this customer. Instead I took a look at the mobile extension feature where a cell phone is linked via speed dial bin/dummy port. It requires SIP trunks or PRI to work properly. Not the greatest but useful.

The trouble is PRI would be too much. I've heard on the SL2100 SIP trunks lock up? Is that still true? I've seen mine lock up and then release after 30 minutes using voip.ms.

 
Can I just forward a dummy port to a speed dial without purchasing the mobility extension feature?
 
Every business is different.
My client likes to protect his business and has daily/weekly Call Accounting reports to monitor performance.
He doesn’t let his sales team use personal cell phones for business related calls. Employees love the fact that they can turn off the app after hours.
