UMAX Astra 1220P Scanner

Hey,
I am fixing a clients PC with multiple problems however one of them (the only one) that I couldn't fix was the scanner.
The scanner is a "UMAX Astra 1220P Scanner", and when scanning you can see the actual thing put in to be scanned, however a yellow background is over it also.

Please help as soon as you can.

Could be a color shift in the lamp or the scan module going bad. If I remember this scanner was on the inexpensive (cheap) end of the scale.

Serb, I'll just go with the 'you're scanner is broke' method, as after franklin agreed with me I thought that this will what I'll be doing.
