Ok... I purchased a used NEC sv8100 with a UM800 voicemail card on ebay. I was reprogramming it and I needed to reset the voicemail to factory defaults. I found things thread and it started working fine. In the middle it asked me for the next disk. I realize that thread was for the sv8300 but the voicemail card should be an entity of itself. I don't have a next disk any suggestions? I did reboot it hoping for the best but it won't start the message server.
Thanks
Eric

The procedure listed uses a recovery partition that exists on the VM CF card. If that partition has a defect or is missing, then this procedure may not work. In which case the CF that came with your VM card may be defective. You could try the procedure again.

I tried it again and it did the same thing. I don't think that the CF is defective. Is there a way to download the software and update it manually?

The only software available for those VM chips are updates.
