I hate having to update Java to get the UM8000's port status to work. I have found this to be valuable a time or two, and wanted to pass it on. This also works on the UM4730, elitemail LX
1. From the maintenance menu, open a command prompt.
2. Type
sudo /opt/vmail/bin/./VMPorts X Y Z
Where X= the 1st port, Y= the last port and Z= the interval (usually 1). For a 16 port system the command should look like this: sudo /opt/vmail/bin/./VMPorts 1 16 1
3. To exit, enter Ctrl + C
